Our not so exciting weekend

Our weekend was suppose to be really exciting and was suppose to consist of White water, the water park in Atlanta, and good friends from Augusta.  However, Wednesday Ike had to go to the doctor, and it turns out he has bronchitis.  So instead we spent the weekend at home with him recovering.  Really I don't know what he would have done if we had gone because the entire weekend he was in his little cave studying.  He had his test today.  He only made a 101.5 out of a 105... poor guy.  He cracks me up with his perfectionism.  Saturday I went to a wedding shower, and on Sunday I woke up sick.  I slept most of the day.  I got for a few hours to celebrate with my dad for father's day and that is it!
I am so lucky to have this man as my daddy!!  This is us celebrating.  Remember I have been sleeping all day and Ike has been studying and you can tell!
This picture is just funny to me!  So typical us..
We celebrated Friday night with Mr. Ira.  I forgot to get pictures!  Thanks to both our dads!  We love you!

Our poor baby!

This baby has been extra needy lately. We had 2 nights in a row where every time he laid down he would get sick. Ike and I were both up most of the night that first night. I told Ike it was a little taste of having a baby. We love our sleep so we know that will be a big adjustment for us. Monday, Buster had doctor visit every thing looked fine and he got up to date on all his shots. Last night right before bed he started acting really weird. He wasn't interested in playing, keep trying to go to bed, and refused to go outside. Again I was up with him last night. We have figured out that it is his leg. He cries if you touch it. He was attached to Ike all morning. Vet seems to think it is a spasm, and it will work out on it's own. Poor little guy! I hate not being able to anything to help him feel better. It just breaks our heart when he is sick.

Three Wonderful Years!!

Ike and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary in May.  I seriously feel so blessed to be married to this man.  He is such a wonderful husband.  This picture is us before we went to eat with the flowers he sent to my work.  They were beautiful and reminded me of our wedding day.  They were a smaller version of our big arrangement.
I love you so much, Ike! Thanks for putting up with me. :)

Memorial day weekend

Memorial day weekend we went to the beach with the Winklepleck's. Stacie's family has a condo down there, and they were so sweet to invite us to spend the weekend with them. We all seem to have the same idea about vacation. We laid around on the beach, did some fun activities, and we ATE! I will go ahead and share one of the fun activities. Ike has been DYING to go para sailing. I am terrified of heights so I have been putting it off. We did it though. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Getting on the boat...The boat ride itself was an adventure. I had never ridden a boat in the ocean, and it was really really bumpy. According to Rob it was a mild day though.

Ok here we are getting ready to take off, can you tell I'm so excited! So while we are up in the air our deck guy and others thought it would be so funny to send this up to me...I totally freaked out, but did not flap my arms!! Then he proceeds to shake the rope! Not nice at all! We survived and it was fun. Ike can check that off his bucket list.

We even took a few pictures on the beach. This was Rob's favorite part of the whole trip! Thanks for being a trooper Rob.
Then out to eat! Yum. I am sad I didn't get a picture of Stacie and her crab legs. I think she went to the beach mostly for those :)Putt-putt! It was fun and we will not discuss scores the end. :

Jen's wedding!

One of my roommates from college, Jen got married in June. She was a missionary in Africa for 2 years and while she was there she met the man of her dreams. The funny thing is he was only there for a short visit. His brother was living in Africa and Jen had became good friends with him and his wife. So while Warren was visiting he met Jen. They had one conversation, but something about her got his attention they started emailing and eventually talking on skype. He came to visit about this time last year, and it has been love every since. God is amazing! I am always blown away by His perfect will in His perfect timing! Warren is Canadian so Jen has relocated BIG time. In college we always joked Jen would marry a foreigner, but Canada never crossed our minds! Ike and I were so honored to be a part of such a special day! And I just ate up the time I got spend with the girls! I can never say enough what these girls mean to me. I am so glad that all the boys are able to hang out and have became friends as well. I LOVE these picture! It is perfect! This is the most recent #7 family picture-We have certainly grown! :)Me and the Bride! The girls! The guysThe group, missing Addie and Liza they were partied out. Such a fun weekend!! Maybe we will get to do this again next summer huh Meg? :)

Cruise to Mexico

We made it through the last full semester of school and to celebrate we went on our anniversary cruise the first week in May, and we LOVED it! We had heard they are addictive and I can see why! It has to be the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on, and I gained every pound I lost before! Some of favorites: the food, how every time you leave your room they make the bed, ports, towels, chocolates, oh and food! It was so nice not to have anything to distract us! So we have to admit we learned something about ourselves...we LOVE each other and LOVE spending time together, but there is a limit to just how much we can take. Plus we just love hanging out with friends :) We went down to Mobile on Saturday afternoon so before we ever boarded the boat we had 2 days of just us time (which was SO fun). However day one on the boat was alittle touchy :). I am ready to lay out, get sun and read my book. Ike on the other hand is ready to explore, workout (ew yes on vacation), and nap. He ask every 5 minutes what time is it....
Here we are attempting to take pictures of ourselves, not cool. :) On Tuesday night we see a couple from our table taking pictures with the photographer. I decide that maybe I should see if they want us to take their picture since the cruise charges 20 bucks at least, and the rest is history the four of us spent the rest of the cruise hanging out! We loved this couple. They were extremely laid back and soo much fun! We hope to cruise together in the future. They took our picture too of course, and Jenny learned fast that I LOVE pictures! I had to teach her you take your camera to EVERYTHING! Sorry Josh! Our first day out in Mexico. In Cozumel we spent the day on the beach and did a little snorkeling and kayaking. AND Jenny and I laid on the beach and got sun! (right Jenny! :)
Getting off the boat.... The place were we spent the day had a few pools also! Look how beautiful! This is our dining room table every night we really enjoyed getting to know all of these people. So cool how they sit you with people in your life stage. All in our 20's, married about 1 month-3 years, no kids. It was alot of fun!We liked the shows alot too! Favorite: the marriage game! So funny! The next day we spent in Calica. We all pretty much laid around in the sun. Expect for Ike and I rode jet ski's with another couple from our table Braxton and Kristina. It was a neat experience, but I will admit I was scared! We dressed UP every night! I told Ike we never get this opportunity. And yep I have him matching me! Can't look awkward for our pictures! And I made Ike take tons of pictures!! :) It just something I like to do, and he likes to make me happy! Our new best friends! It is crazy how close you can get in a week! The last day was a boat day...And then our last night..We were really sad to leave! We had so much fun! Thanks Josh and Jenny the trip would not have been the same without you guys!

Birthdays!

April is a month of birthdays for us! This year my sweet daddy turned the big 5-0!! :) We had supper at our house to celebrate!!!

Ike and I both celebrated our 28th birthday. It's crazy I can remember my mom and dad turning 28! Funny how age changes things....This is one of my birthday presents from my sister..

I could not have been more excited! Who would have thought you could get so excited over a trash can! We have a trash can actually we have had several trash cans. We are not sure what the deal is with the garbage men, but apparently they take out their frusration on our trash can. So EVERY time they knock the wheels off. You know what that means, I usually end up CARRYING it to the road. NO it's not far, but I'm usually dressed for work, in heels and it is HEAVY and stinks which = unhappy Thursdays!! ewe! So far this one is holding on! Next I will blog about May!
