More of Spence

Spence was born in the middle of the week and we were not sure of his birth day until the week before so we did things a little different with him.  Instead of having everyone at the hospital when he was born we told everyone to come the weekend after his birth when we were sure he would have already arrived.  He did have some visitors at the hospital which we were so thankful for, but most came that weekend.  I loved it this way!  We had just enough visitors at the hospital to make me feel loved and not overwhelmed.  This way when the family was visiting I was home and slightly more conscious.  We also loved having a little time to spend with Spence and bond with him as well.

Mimi and Papaw were ready to meet Spence!
Aunt Amanda
and Aunt Molls!

 Finally getting to hold him!

Dr. Reeves delivered Spence as well!  We feel like she one of our friends now after spending so much time with her over the past two years.

Nana stayed at our house with Brant until Spence arrived then she brought him up to meet his brother

Dr. Byrd and his wife Mary from First Ridgeland
My 3 boys!!

Sweet Spence!
Brant was sweet!!  I thought he might be scared because of the cords and IV but definitely was not!
Spence did not cry very much AT ALL!  The nurse even commented that he did not cry for shots or his little operation.  We knew our prayers had been answered!  He was very laid back and so sweet!
Of course napping with daddy
Victoria and John daddy's coworker's came to visit
Our sweet friends the Miller's
I had friends tell me I would be so ready to leave the hospital this time around, and they were right!  I cried to stay an extra day with Brant, but this time I was ready to get home.

We did experience hungry Spence on the ride home.  So we had to stop and feed the baby!

Spence is here!

I can not believe I am just now blogging!  Two babies has rocked our world!
BUT Spencer Allen did make his appearance and we are all 3 eat up with him!
We had a scheduled c-section June 25 bright and early!  This c-section was not quite as smooth as the first time.  The anesthesiologist had a really hard time getting the epidural in so by the end I was sobbing scared to death and after Spence was here I was itching and the meds they gave me knocked out the pain meds...so needless to say a little screaming happened and I became "that girl".  But ohhh how worth it, it was for this precious little man!!
Here we are leaving for the hospital and then waiting to be rolled back!  We were so excited to be meeting Spence!
These two...they really are the very best!  I'm so thankful they were there with us!

Spencer Allen was finally here!  And I was right he was a big boy!!

Spence,
You are such a wonderful addition to our family.  Our prayers for a laid back baby were definitely answered. You have had such a sweet personality from day one!  We know that the Lord has such great things in store for you.  We are so blessed.  The Lord knew we needed you for so many reasons.  I feel humbled that the Lord has allowed us to be your parents.  We love you so much sweet boy!

Almost time.

So it is almost that time!  We have the C-section scheduled! These are just a few notes for me:
- I have basically been pregnant 2 YEARS!!  That is insane 😀
-I have had an extreme case of nesting this time so poor Ike and I have been busy!!!  Ike has been a trooper, and has taken on a ton of projects for me.  I plan to share those soon.
-I am still stressing about how Brant will take having a baby brother.  He is such a sweet loving boy so I know he will love him.  I can tell he knows something is up because he is extra clingy to me.
-My emotions have already started getting a bit crazy.  After I had Brant I definitely had some postpartum like issues.  I am hoping that I can avoid that this go around.

We went to the doctor last week to see Spence and get an estimate of his weight.  They estimated that he weighed around 7lbs 13 ounces.  We even got a sneak peak at him.  Looks just like Brant's 4-d to me...same mouth and sweet cheeks.

Here is 38 weeks with Spence.

Celebrating Spence

Ike's work had a baby shower for Spence.  We were so excited and thankful for them.  We were not expecting any showers for a second child (especially same gender and sooo close to a first child).  It was a sweet shower, and they really were so thoughtful.  They even had a present for Brant.

My co-workers also had what they called a "sprinkle" for Spence.  They took us to lunch, gave us a wonderful gift, and my favorite..they brought Gigi's cupcakes Y.U.M.
Ike and I are so blessed to both work with such wonderful, thoughtful, family oriented people.

Baby #2 has a name....

We had the hardest time deciding on a name.  We have gone back and forth with a few names.  We even narrowed it done to 3 and took a poll of our family and friends.
Nathan (Nate)
Maxwell (Max)
Judson (Jud)
None of which we ended up with.  We liked them all but we just did not have "that is it" moment.  I love some sort of "nickname" and we were set on using my dad's middle name, but were just stumped for the first!  Finally last week at 32 weeks pregnant we decided.  We were looking through yet another list and the minute we came across it we were both knew.... that is it!!

So baby # 2 will be.....

Spencer Allen Andrews

iPhone dump

I feel so behind on updating.  Here is a little iPhone dump and probably the best way for me to get to up to date.
Brant LOVES balls (and balloons but we call those balls too).  He will bring you the ball and wants you to throw it for him to go get.  Yes, it is much like fetch with a puppy.  He loves this ball pit Mimi got for his birthday.  This ball pit, the bathtub, daddy's boots and the trash can are his "spots".  If we are missing something we always look in these first.  I am certain I have thrown away something important, and our tub looks like an episode of hoarders by the end of the day because of all the randomness he has thrown in it.

We got a few boo boo's last month.  He threw a toy, tripped over it, and blacked his eye...only my child, and he got bit at school.

My work puts on an addiction school each year.  So I had to be out of town for a week.  Poor Ike...Brant had a reaction to his shots and ended up running 103-104 fever for most of the week so Ike was home with him.  Then of all things the air condition broke on the first VERY warm day.  He did great and handled it better than I would have actually.
Molly and I at the school.  Molly is now the director of the school... whoop whoop!

My lovely co-workers...

Oh we are in the midst of adventures in eating with Brant ...

Don't judge the Cheetos.... Not like he ate them anyway.

This child loves sleeping on daddy!
These two are becoming friends!

Look how grown Brant looks!

Just for fun!

This boy loves to be outside and loves his car!

Baby Andrews #2 is growing growing!  I am not doing great at updates with this pregnancy, but I will say this one feels very different.  We had an appointment this past week (29 weeks), and they said he is head down and almost 4lbs!  He's a big boy.  I had predicted both of these.  I am not sure we will make it to 40 weeks.  He still has no name at the moment.  We are working on it.
Here is picture from 27 weeks.
