Buster

I have dreaded writing this post.  I have actually tried to start it many times and I could not bring myself to finish.  BUT I had to document this; Buster has been such a huge part of our lives.  Ike and I both felt like a chapter of our lives had been closed.  September 19, just a normal day.  Ike and I were loading the boys up for school, and Buster like always followed us to the truck.  It was so second nature for him to do that.  Neither of us really even noticed.  I heard it happen, looked up and I could immediately tell he was gone.  The driver said all she saw was a squirrel…of course.  He loved some squirrels.   Buster was a great dog.  He was our baby for many, many years.  He was there for all of my tears during infertility and miscarriages.  I told Ike it was weird I had never lived with him without Buster.  He was the most hyper dog you would ever meet at 6 ½ years old.  It broke my heart that our boys would not get to play with him.  I had looked forward to the day that they would love him as much as Ike and I did.  His life had certainly changed with adding 2 brothers in 2 years, but we loved him so very much.  I know the Lord has plans for all things including Buster.  He brought him to our lives for a period of time I could not have made it without him.  I am thankful for that time.  He will certainly be missed.

Brant 17 months

Brant,
This has been such a fun month!  I loved having you home with Spence and I (most days anyway ha!).  You are a ball of energy!  You had an order of business when you got up.. 1. Find Spence 2. Turn on the TV (not to watch but it needed to be on) 3. Drink milk and have breakfast 4. GO OUTSIDE!!  You have been my entertainment for sure!  I just love how you will repeat things over and over if we think they are funny.  I always knew you were smart, but I have really been blown away with how quickly you learn new things.  I can pretty much tell you something once and you have.  Your daddy and I love you so much and we are so thankful for your sweet and fun personality and so proud of you!
At 17 months you have....
-Found your belly button and your nose.  You love to stick your finger in our nose and think it is hilarious.
-Can put together your shape puzzle by yourself and a few other puzzles
-Learned to slide
-Loved the splash pad, your sprinkler, and sand box....Pretty much just love being outside

-Started loving Buster especially when he chases you and you will call him "buha".  Took me a little bit to realize that what you were saying.  My favorite is when you are fussing at him you shake your little finger at him.
-Figured out how to move the little bikes you got for Christmas...but mostly backwards.
-Love Gray!  He's your BF for sure!  You are always so excited to see him.  We loved having play dates with him this month!

-You have started hiding or making a little barricade when you have to go #2.  We went ahead and got a potty.  You will sit on it, but I think it is still going to be a while.

Little Wild Man

Brant is our little wild man these days!  I needed to write down somethings before I forgot these funny days!

The other day I left the room for literally 2 minutes, and this is what I came back to... Theses two sharing a snack of animal crackers they (Brant) got for themselves.

He has discovered that running from me is the funniest thing ever!  First picture he has the nose frita...  I mean seriously son.  He grabbed it and took off, so gross.
This was last Sunday...We were up in PLENTY of time to be able to make it to church, but somehow it did not happen.  He was in rare form...looks so sweet right?

Then there is this...  He absolutely loves getting under things and especially loves to get in the pantry.

Here he is weathering out his first tornado warning....
Two other random stories...
We went to eat lunch with Ike on Monday.  Ike and I got cookies, and I split my cookie with Brant.  When he noticed that Ike had a cookie too he shoved the rest of the cookie he had into his mouth and started pointing at Ike's cookie grunting for it.  Silly boy!!!
Then yesterday Ike picked up Brant so I could go to the grocery store.  When I got home he came running to me.  He loved all over, and I was like awwww how sweet.  He then looks up from hugging me points at the high chair and starts grunting to eat.  REALLY???  I ask Ike, and he said he has been playing the whole time and has not once seemed hungry!  That boy is a mess!!!

iPhone dump

I feel so behind on updating.  Here is a little iPhone dump and probably the best way for me to get to up to date.
Brant LOVES balls (and balloons but we call those balls too).  He will bring you the ball and wants you to throw it for him to go get.  Yes, it is much like fetch with a puppy.  He loves this ball pit Mimi got for his birthday.  This ball pit, the bathtub, daddy's boots and the trash can are his "spots".  If we are missing something we always look in these first.  I am certain I have thrown away something important, and our tub looks like an episode of hoarders by the end of the day because of all the randomness he has thrown in it.

We got a few boo boo's last month.  He threw a toy, tripped over it, and blacked his eye...only my child, and he got bit at school.

My work puts on an addiction school each year.  So I had to be out of town for a week.  Poor Ike...Brant had a reaction to his shots and ended up running 103-104 fever for most of the week so Ike was home with him.  Then of all things the air condition broke on the first VERY warm day.  He did great and handled it better than I would have actually.
Molly and I at the school.  Molly is now the director of the school... whoop whoop!

My lovely co-workers...

Oh we are in the midst of adventures in eating with Brant ...

Don't judge the Cheetos.... Not like he ate them anyway.

This child loves sleeping on daddy!
These two are becoming friends!

Look how grown Brant looks!

Just for fun!

This boy loves to be outside and loves his car!

Baby Andrews #2 is growing growing!  I am not doing great at updates with this pregnancy, but I will say this one feels very different.  We had an appointment this past week (29 weeks), and they said he is head down and almost 4lbs!  He's a big boy.  I had predicted both of these.  I am not sure we will make it to 40 weeks.  He still has no name at the moment.  We are working on it.
Here is picture from 27 weeks.

Just a "lately" post!

Here are few pictures from the last few weeks!
Aunt Amanda and Uncle Jason came to visit us!  Brant loves these two and had a blast at a baseball game with them.
We were so thankful that they came and played with Brant so that we could finish up our guestroom.  We had to paint, and we knew that would be a hard task with little hands and feet in the room.  I love how it turned out.  Next project is Brant's big boy room.
Then Brant ended up home for a few days.  So daddy took a day and mommy took a day.  Daddy had the first and worst day though.  I text him to see how it was going his response was the picture below... and he said this is the only way he will sleep.  Poor guy.
My day was a little better but I got a lot of this...so we snuggled a lot.  This is not an usually view for me though with both of these guys at my feet.
Best friends in the making....Brant will get Buster's toy and take it to the door sometimes.  So sweet and funny!
The Walker's came to visit.  These two were much more interactive this time.
He loves to splash now that he knows it wets mommy too.
Brant does not sleep with us, and he usually refuses to sleep in our bed but I got out of the shower the other day and found this.  So sweet!!!

Santa visit

I wanted to get a cute picture of these two boys while they were in their Christmas clothes...  I had all these big ideas about how cute they would be.  Well...they are both cute regardless of their cooperation.

We decided to go to Bass Pro to meet Santa.  I don't think we quite realized what the wait would be like.  We do like that they give you a time to come back.  You will still wait in line a while, but it was better than it could have been.  We met Ms. Clause while we waited.
We visited the fish tank.  Brant was just taking it all in. This was also his first of MANY trips to Bass Pro.

Then the big finale...Santa!
Brant did great waiting in the line for an hour.  He started to get really tired, but we made it and no major Santa drama this year.
