Past few weekends

**I am sorry for the crazy spacing blogger will not let me change it!

The weekend before last Ike's mom and little brother came to spend some time with us.  We loved having them there with us.  Ike and I love living here, but we are still adjusting to be so far from our families again.  We tried to fill every second they were there!
Ike and Sam went bike riding while Ms. Susie and I shopped (of course)

Buster was uncooperative. We were in the backyard and he was far more interested in the squirrels

I love this picture and if you know these boys you know what's going on here!
Now this past weekend we went home for a birthday celebration!!!  While we may not have yet been blessed with children of our own children; Josh and Jenifer have been so sweet to allow us to be invovled in their children's lives.  We love our sweet neices.  Mackenzie and I have a special connection we have the same birthday.

Here we are with the birthday Girl! She had a rainbow party that was too cute!

We love these guys!

Story of my life

I know this is a very vain thing, and I know I'm not overweight, BUT I'm uncomfortable.
When I saw this I found it most amusing!  This is the story of my life lately!  I showed it to Ike, and I said, "does that not sound like me?".  He said, "No, you don't cry, you get mad and throw things!"  SO TRUE!  I can not stand the scale these days!  I know it is my own fault (but I blame the whole pregnancy roller coaster).  Oh well...I find it extremely difficult not to go out to eat for lunch.  Almost everyone in my office goes out to eat, and it's like middle school, I feel left out. :)  AND I really do enjoy working out, but really who has time besides my husband who goes before work.  I have this dream every week that I will get up and go with him...not happened in a long time.  So I'm mostly just venting...I am hoping to do better this week, but let's be honest it's Ike's birthday week so we must celebrate!  Anyhoo...Maybe next week.....

However, in relation to the above.  I did go back to the doctor this month, and we got some good news... NO MORE CYST!  Praise the Lord!  So we were able to start the fertility meds (which I am not sure but I do believe have contributed to the uncomfortable constantly bloated feeling.).  I am trying really hard to just stay relaxed, and remember that these are not a sure thing.  Hopeful, but I'm not guaranteed to be pregnant at the end of the month.  I am trying to be realistic. :)  All of your prayers are welcomed :)

Finally!!

Welp, Ike FINALLY got his truck.  He has been dying for a truck for many many years.  Before we were engaged and people would ask him when we would get engaged he would always joke that he would have to have his truck and boat before that could happen.  That was 5 years ago…
He has been looking online for a while.  Saturday we drove around a few car lots then we went home, and he looked online a little more.  He found one online that he thought might be a good deal.  When we got there we were just not thrilled about it.  So we left and went to look some more.  When we saw this truck I think Ike fell in love (I already ask if he loved it more than me, I’m still in the lead for now).  4 hours later (because the keys to the truck were missing, yes I’m serious) we left with this truck.  Ike was so excited; I think he wanted to sleep in it.   Sunday morning he got me up at 6 to go to wal-mart for cleaning supplies.  It was a great weekend, and Ike so deserves this truck.  He has been so patient and responsible, and he really never wants or gets much.  I’m so proud for him.  Hopefully the boat is not toooooo far behind.  And there is plenty of room for a car seat :)

Perfect Weekend

Perfect Sunday Afternoon....

Ike and I both like to be outside and active, and now that we live on the reservoir, and so close to the trace we have been dying to have bikes.  We have spent many Saturdays going to look at bikes, and always talk ourselves out of them.  Saturday was like every other…breakfast from McDonald’s (we have this EVERY single Saturday!) and then a little yard work.  I was pulling weeds (of course, Ike wants me to do this cause I absolutely hate this chore) and Ike was push mowing.  All the sudden he stops the mower and says I think we need to get bikes today.  I was super excited!  So we spent the rest of the afternoon getting all the things required to own bikes, and then we went and test drove a few.  Neither of us had every ridden a “nice” bike.  We both had mountain bikes growing up with big fat tires.  The bikes we got are not a road bike, but like one step from it so the tires are small which allows you to go pretty fast.  ANYWAY!  We LOVE them!  Sunday I was dying to go riding.  It was like Christmas morning as a kid.  I woke up at like 6 and could not go back to sleep.  This is NOT like me, I LOVE to sleep in.  Around 7, we got up and went for a ride.  We rode around the reservoir which was beautiful.  Yesterday afternoon we went for another ride, and then hung out on a blanket by the reservoir, which is the picture above.  It was the ABSOLUTE BEST day!  It was pretty weather, the best company, and just all together fun!  If we can figure out how to take Buster on the bike rides that would be even better!  I do have to say I learned that body is not what it used to be, and may take some time to adjust to riding a bike J
I’m looking forward to many many weekends like this one!

St. Patty's Day Parade!

This was our first experience with a St. Patty’s day parade.  I usually don't even remember to wear green.  We have been hearing about what a big deal it is since we moved here, I had no idea!!!  The parade started at 1pm, but people start getting there when the sun comes up to mark their spot like tailgating.  By the time we got there around 12 we had to walk a few miles, and you would not believe the ordeal to cross the street.  Melody, a friend from work, had invited us all to hang out at her spot.  It was fun!  It brought out the kid in me, I loved catching beads!

SUYL with Kelly's Korner

I'm linking up with today's show us your life at Kelly's Korner.  This month I have been taking the laid back approach for many reasons, and I have to say I have felt better!  This blog is my way of keeping up with our lives so we can easily look back at what was going on from year to year and unfortunately infertility has been a part of it.  You can look back where I started sharing our story here ...

We love visitors!

Last weekend we had visitors!  My cousin Ashley, her husband, Drew and their boys came down to visit on Friday afternoon, and my sister and her husband suprised them by coming down Saturday morning to hang out with us!  We fit as much as we could into a weekend.  Saturday morning we went to the Children's museum which was so neat.  It was Dr. Suess's birthday though so there was an unimaginable amount of children there, and parents chasing children.  I think the boys really liked it!  Then we attempted to eat lunch at Chuck E Cheese.  Apparently everyone had the same idea, so we ended up at Cici's.  The girls decided to do a little shopping before we went bowling that night.  Ike and I LOVE visitors.  It was neat too because we did things we never do.  I felt like a tourist. Come back soon guys!

Buster LOVED the company too...He even slept with them one night!

Gaming.... These boys love games, I had more downloads on my iphone in one weekend than in it's entire life.

Ready for the Museum.

Love these girls and miss them!
Sweet Family!
