Life...

Things are moving right along...I can not believe it is only four months till we are getting married as Ike said, "where has the year gone??" We are excited but still have so much to do. I have been warned about how much goes into planning the wedding, and don't get me wrong that can be a lot...but what about all the stuff that goes along with being married!! We have been so busy with all that ....the wedding seems to be the last thing on our minds! :) We did find time on our ONE day off to register (thanks for the encouragement, Jenifer ha ha). That was so fun, we spent the whole day picking out things we want or need! Ike was so cute of course he was in control of the gun...like most guys!
Anyway I forgot to mention earlier but we got a puppy! We kinda rescued it! His name is Buster! He is all puppy!! He loves to keep his mom up! Ike is moving into our house this weekend and I am turning over full custody to him until I move in! He can finish up potty training! hehe! He is so cute and looks sweet but don't be fooled!!

New Years!

Blogging can be extremely time consuming! Yesterday I did not get around to blogging about our New Years! We look forward to this every year. A couple of years ago Kyle Walker and his now Fiance Lauren Atkins hosted a New Year's party at the Walkers and the tradition has continued and the parties have grown! This is the time we all come together eat good food and catch up! There is always a bonfire and SMORES...which is one of my favorite parts! Then of course fireworks and we get to ring in the New Year with some of our best friends! This year followed right with tradition and was so fun! We don't know what next New Year's holds with us all getting married and scattering even further apart! But we hope that this tradition will continue. The first party ringing in 2006 Girls 2007

Holidays!!

Ike and I have had a great holiday! We had Christmas 5 times!! This year the real world of working has hit us. Last year we both enjoyed time off around the holidays...with Ike still being in the military and my job being so flexible. Not this year...we barely got Christmas day off! :( But we have made the most of our nights and weekends! We really loved having Amanda and Jason home for Christmas. As I mentioned they got engaged Christmas eve. It was very sweet! And will be getting married pretty close to us! My poor parents! I have missed my little sister and I am excited that they are thinking of moving back to Mississippi! Hopefully, they will be our tenants! We are looking to buy a house, actually hoping to close soon! The house we are working on getting has a wonderful guest house that they may rent. How cool is that!
Ike and I both really enjoyed spending time with old friends! I had a roommate reunion with my girls from college. It was so nice to get to caught up! Ike really enjoyed time with his guys as well!
We are doing really well! Buying a house has to be one of the most trying times! We are very excited though. The house we like is quite out dated so we are looking forward to fixing it up together! Ike is amazing and it so exciting to begin planning our lives together!
