24 weeks

24 weeks

I'm 25 weeks now but here was 24.....Can't keep up!

How far along: 24 weeks
How big is baby: The size of a rutabaga or cauliflower....about 13 1/2 inches long and weighs a pound and a half
Weight gain/loss: well I am officially over this question...But I guess I will document. I went to the doctor this week and she said I have gained 17 pounds! She said it was normal..... :)
Maternity Clothes: YES!
Stretch marks:No thankfully.
Sleep: It's still ok. Ike and I have a king size bed but I have always liked to sleep close, but this may have to change (for a little while) because we are waking each other up a lot lately.
Diet: ANYTHING! I am eating ALL the time..... I need to do better about eating small meals. I think this would help with indigestion.
Gender: Boy! Brantley Cleve
Movement: YES! He is moving a good bit. I LOVE it!!! I really look forward to feeling him move, and I want Ike to feel it too as much as he can. :) My sister came to visit last weekend, and Brant was moving around so I got her to feel it. As soon as she put her hand on my stomach he kicked her hand.
The belly: BIG! I really really feel like it popped out this week!
What I miss: Diet coke.
Symptoms: Heartburn/indigestion.
What I'm looking forward to: Our doctor's visit in January. We have another ultrasound, and we can't wait to see him! AND Ms. Susie has finished his bedding and is bringing it to us this weekend!! I can't wait to have it all together!
Best moment of the week: We had a great doctor's visit and heard Brant's sweet heartbeat!

Baby Andrews has a name..

Baby Andrews has a name.....

Brantley Cleve

We really decided his name pretty early on, but getting Ike to commit was another thing.  Ike is a third, and he had already decided that he wanted to do something different.  He says it can be complicated sharing a name.  Ike's name is actually Ira Cleve.  He is the 4th generation to use Cleve, and we thought it would be really special to at least carry that on.  So we just had to find something we liked to go with it.  Ike actually came up with Brantley and I loved it.  I think we will call him Brant, but we will see.  I am excited that we finally have a name!

21 weeks

I'm 22 Weeks, Sam says he is 25 weeks after thanksgiving lunch.
I am currently 23 weeks but I don't have a picture to prove it, but here is a little catch up on our progress...

How far along: 23 weeks
How big is baby: should be just over a pound now and the size of a grapefruit
Weight gain/loss: about 12 pounds
Maternity Clothes: YES!
Stretch marks:no
Sleep: OK.  My hips have starting hurting some at night, but nothing too bad.
Diet:  ANYTHING!  Not craving anything and no aversions either.  Just hungry!
Gender: Boy!
Movement: YES!  Brantley is moving a good bit now.
The belly: BIG!
What I miss: Diet coke.
Symptoms: Heartburn/indigestion.  I had indigestion (I'm sure from WAY over eating) so bad over thanksgiving.  I threw up all night.
What I'm looking forward to:  Finishing the nursery, and most of all Holding our baby!
Best moment of the week: Ike felt Brantley really moving this week.  It is such an amazing thing for us to be able to feel him.

Starting the nursery

This past weekend my sister, Jason, and Sam came to help us start setting up for Baby boy (who doesn’t yet have a name).  As soon as we told my parents it was a boy they bought him a baby bed…we are so very thankful.  We have been dying to get it set up!  There was a lot of “pre” work that had to be done before the bed could be set up.  So we got started first thing Saturday morning
Daddy and uncles setting up the bed!
A work in progress!

Uncle Sam and I comparing bellies!
We are so thankful for our families.  They are all so excited for this precious baby, and it makes it even more special for Ike and me.   I wish there was a way that I could someday show him just how excited everyone one was for his arrival.   And just how much he was prayed for and loved before he was ever conceived!

It's a.....

IT'S A..........

Since I was going to the doctor every two weeks I had to go in at 15 weeks.  We thought there maybe a possibility for us to find out the gender, but we were not sure.  Ike was able to go so it just worked out perfectly to find out!  The ultrasound tech said it's a BOY, and you would have thought that Ike had won the lottery.  I have never seen him smile so big!  That made me even more excited about it seeing the excitement in his face.  He says he would have been the same for a girl, but is glad to have a boy.  I have been indifferent. I have always thought I would be a boy mom (at least first).  Then we had to go to work and wait ALL day before telling our parents that night.  We may have told the aunts and uncles over the phone because they couldn't wait either!  We were not really expecting to find out so we didn't really have a plan to reveal the gender.  Neither of our parents had any idea we found out.  I avoided them all day, and Ike told them both it would be another month.  So when we got there I had the little candy bars in a bag.  I told them we had a little happy for them.  BOTH of our dads were like "oh a chocolate bar, thank you."  Our moms read them and announced it! It was so fun and exciting.  It's just fun to be able to start buying and decorating!!!  The best part of the day all around though is that the baby looks healthy!  Ike and I feel so blessed, and are sooo thankful for so many people praying for us.

13 and 14 weeks

I had all these good intentions to take my picture with my new chalk board I even wrote on it...

But it just never happened and before I realized it was almost week 14. So no picture this week. Sorry!

How far Along: 13 weeks
How big is baby: The baby is the size of a peach

Maternity Clothes: I wore a pair of maternity pants this week. They were way big but comfortable!
Stretch Marks: No

Movement: None
The belly: Still growing.
What I miss: Coffee and coke! and now pizza
Symptoms: Heartburn, frequent urination. I am really feeling pretty great!
What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the sex of the baby!
Best moment of the week: This week I had a doctor visit. I had been looking forward to it, but again I got a surprise. The little scare we had in week 11 caused our doctor to have a conversation with our specialist. A long story short... they decided it would be best to keep a check on my cervix lining for the next few months. SOOO because of this I had a sonogram Monday. It was the first time I got emotional about it. I could see the baby so well! For a while I will see the doctor every 2 weeks and have a sonogram. Everything looked great yesterday and if this continues we will stop going every 2 weeks (I'm ok with getting to see the baby every 2 weeks!!), and if it changes I will have to give myself shots to prevent preterm labor.

14 Weeks  (still no chalk board!)

Weight gain/loss: still just + 2 lbs
Maternity Clothes: The one pair of pants.

Diet: Still craving cheese.  That's about it.  AND I discovered how amazing Zantac is!  So the heartburn is manageable!
Gender: Don't know?? Can't wait!
Movement: None
The belly: Still growing.
What I miss: COKE!!!  more than ever!  maybe the baby is craving it?!
Symptoms: Heartburn, frequent urination. I am really feeling pretty great!
What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the sex of the baby!
Best moment of the week: It has all together been a great week.  Honestly the discovery of Zantac is up there!

My surprise!

Ike text me yesterday afternoon, and said "I have a surprise for you when I get home."  I spent the next few hours trying my best to figure out what it was.  I knew he had gone straight to work, and then straight to his office meeting so there was no time for him to stop and get anything.  I decided it must be to tell me something exciting.  I even called my sister to debate this.  Girls just go crazy over any type of surprise (or at least this one).  He walks in and hands me this t-shirt with his work logo on it, and says surprise!  To be honest I was excited about the the t-shirt.  Then he says and there is this..

Ike knows I have been dying for a Kindle Fire so he gave it to me (now he did say he may have to Indian give a few times...I'm ok with sharing).  I was so excited!  And to brag on him now...He won this Kindle Fire at work.  His work does this thing where if people think you are doing a job they can but you name on this "wall" online.  Ike's name has been on there several times and he was drawn to win!  I am so proud of Ike!  He is so smart and such a hard worker!  NOW at the cooperate level they draw for another winner, and that winner gets a CAR!  Woohoo!  I doubt if he wins that, he would give it to me, but maybe!  He's such a great guy!  I'm a lucky girl!!!

First Trimester!

I wrote this post along the way. I'm trying to catch up. I am actually 13 weeks TODAY! So I will hopefully do that post soon with better pictures and the cute chalkboard my friend Molly made for me! I can't wait!

First Trimester Summary!
I am one those people who rarely ever gets sick. So it's not something I really understand. Poor Ike, he has such a weak immune system (better lately), and I have found myself thinking he must be faking it can't be that bad. I am sorry to admit I thought this about pregnant people too. I thought there is no way they are SO tired, hungry, sick, etc... I am eating my words! I don't have morning sickness. I feel fabulous in the mornings, like a new woman! In fact several times I have been up cleaning first thing in the morning. By 2 in the afternoon I am ready to crash! I'm exhausted which I feel like is an understatement. The nausea kicks in about this time too, and don't be mistaken I am still hungry. V.E.R.Y. hungry. At my very hungriest in my pre-pregnancy life didn't come close to this hunger. But with all that I could not be more excited and happy to know this is all for the little baby that is growing. We are pumped!

*****This is for my documenting. I NEVER want to to seem that I am AT ALL ungrateful for this sweet blessing and miracle. It's all worth it!

I waited until 10 weeks to start the weekly updates.....

Just random

I have been dying for a coffee table for my living room.  It's a pretty large room, and it just needed something to tie it together.  My dad can build anything so I had been searching over pinterest to send my mom ideas for him.  He's a busy man though and had not gotten to it.  One Saturday my mom text me a picture of the table below.  I loved it!  It's the perfect size and shape!  They got this table for 3 bucks at a garage sale!  How is it I never find anything!  So after a little chalk paint, it's the perfect table for our room!  I love it!
Before!
After!

A few weeks ago my friend Emily came to town to visit.  It was a coincidence that the Wilson's had stopped by the same night so we all got to visit.  It was so fun watching Emily and Connie's kids play together.  I always love getting to catch up with these girls!

Buster was in LOVE with Emily's girls.  We are going to have to consider having him fixed.  Ike always thinks there is no need, but I think with a baby on the way there is now a need!  He's very sweet and loves on them (LOTS of kisses), but he's so hyper that he scares me.  SO I think it's time!

Praise the Lord!

The Lord is so good to us! We can't say that enough, and we are sooo thankful for all you who have been praying for us.

Here is the story. After the cysts were finally gone, we tried the Letrozole for a few months, and every month the progesterone test would indicate that I had not ovulated. Since this did not appear to be working, we decided to give clomid a try for a few months. The first month on clomid, my progesterone indicated that I had ovulated!!! First little victory! Let the waiting begin!

Friday July 20, Ike gets home from work, and he asks me if I had taken a test. Of course, I had not because it was only day 29, and it was afternoon. I was certain IF I was pregnant it would be negative plus I did not need to go the restroom. So I refused, and I reminded him how it puts me in a bad mood to get a negative test. He would not let up until I took a test. At first I was like see its negative, then all of the sudden the second line began to appear. I COULD NOT believe it was possible. Then of course we stood over it for the next 30 minutes questioning if it was really a positive. We headed out to get one that was a little clearer. And it said it, PREGNANT! All these months of getting the not pregnant and there it was! It was surreal! We had a little mini party for ourselves, but knew we were not out of the woods yet. Saturday was the first day of blood work. They measured my HCG levels which were 122. Our doctor seemed pleased with these numbers but we would have a check on Monday (level was 303) and Wednesday (690), so my numbers were more than doubling every 48 hours. We were on pins and needles waiting for the results everytime I would have blood work. Our doctor seemed pleased with these numbers so that helped us relax SOME. Our first ultrasound was Friday August 3. It was a crazy morning, we were filled with nervousness and excitement! It went great. We had been hoping to be able to hear a heartbeat, but we weren't quite able to this visit, but we could see it, which was reassuring. That afternoon was the afternoon Ike and I left for Texas. On our way back when we were in Dallas with the Ward's, I started having some bleeding which stopped over the night. It was too late I was already in panic mode. I called the doctor and had our Friday appointment moved to Thursday.  I couldn't wait another night. On Thursday we went in, and I really did not know what he was going to say. I know spotting is pretty common, but with my history I just was not sure. BUT everything was great! We were able to hear the heartbeat!!! A sound that was like music to our ears! August 17th was our last appointment with our specialist. They said we were graduating. I think we both had some mixed emotions about this because with the specialist we go to see the baby every week, but they felt good about it so we were ready. We were officially 8weeks farther along than we had ever really been!

Our baby's first picture!

This is the picture we sent my parents to tell them.  We are hoping Buster is excited about this news!

Reunion!

One day I was reading my friend Vanessa's blog, and realized they had moved to Dallas.  At first I was like oh how neat they are in Dallas, then it clicked wait a second we are GOING right through there NEXT WEEK!  So I immediately text Vanessa so we could get a plan for seeing them.  It had been FIVE years since we had last seen each other.  Vanessa and Lucas were such good friends to us in Augusta, and were a big part of our dating life and then engagement.  She even helped Ike pick out my engagement ring.  I seriously would have lost my mind if she had not been there.  I miss her terribly (especially as my workout buddy).  It was so great to get to catch up, and it was so nice that it felt like no time had passed since we were last together.  Vanessa did a great post with a blast from the past you can see it here
Somehow the only pictures we got were from the morning before we left instead of the night before when I looked decent.  :)  It will definately not be that long before we see them this time!

Meeting Taylor

I had to include this picture from Lauren's shower that feels like yesterday and all of the sudden...

Here she is!  Taylor Grace!
We really enjoyed getting to meet her and spend time with her wonderful Mom and Dad.  She is absolutely precious!  Ike was a bit of a baby hog, and did not let me hold her very much!  We usually try to make a trip out to Texas to visit the Walker's, and this trip was like none before, and we loved every second of it!

Sibling time

My sister and Jason came for a visit last weekend.  We found this awesome deal on living social for a water park close to us and planned to go on Saturday.  Well I have never bought anything from living social or groupon so I assumed we could buy it Saturday morning.  I was putting it off because I was not sure what the weather was going to do.  Anyway you can't do that...it takes 24-48 to verify purchase just FYI.  So we quickly cancelled that purchase and made other plans.  We decided to go to the Choctaw Indian fair.  You park and ride a school bus to the fair.  As soon as we pulled up to the fair the bottom fell out, so we just rode the little bus back to the car.  Always an adventure, but we had fun regardless!  We ate instead always a blast.  :)
This is a picture we sent to our mom on the way...

On the bus...I posted this picture of Ike and I on Facebook and said long time since we have rode the bus together because Ike and I did ride the school bus together for a few years.  I have mentioned this before I think but actually my mom used to take us to school and I begged for us to ride the bus so I could see Ike.  Now Ike only rode the bus 15 minutes, and we had to ride an hour and half.  Oh I was just so in love already.

We had a blast, and always love our time with these guys.  I don't believe I have mentioned this before, but they have also been trying to have a baby close to the same amount of time as us, and have been unsuccessful.  Amanda has seen a couple of doctors, has done her time with clomid, and they have not been able to find one thing wrong with either of them.  In our case everything seems to be wrong with me, and that is frustrating.  In their situation nothing appears to be wrong, and that is also very frustrating.  I HATE that my baby sister is experiencing this, but I know that Lord has allowed us to be there for each other through this journey.  I have been reading this book called Authentic Faith, and it was been such a blessing me, more on that later, but I suggest it to for everyone especially those facing infertility.

Show us your life: Mantles

These are not the greatest pictures because they are all taken with my phone, but I love having a mantle.  Our old house didn't have one so I was excited that the rental house we are in does. I'm not great at changing out the decorations throughout the year.  I am hoping this is something that I can "grow" into.

This is what it looks like most of the year...

And this is Christmas.  I have to say I like it best at this time of year.  It feels so full and homey.

Rest of the story..

Wednesday, we drove to the Lewes Ferry which you drive onto and it takes you across to Cape May, NJ.  My mom was really nervous about the ferry but it turned out to be fun.

Cape May was a beautiful, and our hotel was right on the beach which was so nice.  Wednesday afternoon most of us hit the beach!
That night we ATE so good!  The boadwalk area was super cute we walked around a little before heading back for the firework show on the beach.
Thursday, Me, Ike, and mom went the day at the beach while the others went to a near by board walk.  I like to get in as much time as possible on the beach.  The water was supppppperrrr chilly even after you were ajusted to still had a chill to it.  I loved watching mom and Ike play in the water looking for rocks and sea shells.
Is she cute or what?

I didn't get any pictures that afternoon but Chris and Rose came back and hung out on the beach for a while.  I am writing this so I will never forget this story or how funny it was.  Ike and Chris went out to play in the water, and while they were out there in Chris's words they were picking up stuff with their toes to see if they could find anything cool.  Well they come back to where Rose and I are laying.  Chris throws something that looked like a rock in Rose's belly button for a fews minutes she doesn't move then all of the sudden she jumps up yelling!  Come to find out it was a hermit crab!  It was the funniest thing ever!!  She at the time did not think it was at all funny because it "bit her" (aka pinched her).  This story is only going to be funny to those of us there, but I will forever laugh when I think about it!!
That night we headed back out to eat yet another fabulous meal!
I really wanted us to get some cute pictures on the beach, but we didn't get out there before dark so here is what we got.  Not exactly what I was hoping for but some fun memories.
The boys of course had to get in the boat!
We were attempting to get a "dipping" picture, and Chris may have dipped Rose to the ground!

Then Friday, it was back to the ferry to head home.

Here we are at Rose and Chris's row home in the city saying our goodbyes Saturday morning!  Always so sad!
