Christmas holidays!

We had a great Christmas week. It kicked off Monday, Mike and Emily (one of my roomies), came and spent the night with us. It was alot of fun!! I cooked dinner and we played games. It is always so good to see them and spend time with them. We seem to be in the same place right now with alot of things so it was nice to get to talk. I did not get one single picture of their visit, so unlike me!!! Then on Tuesday Rose and Chris came into town and Ike and I went to stay with them at the Andrew's most of the week. We are so blessed with 2 great families! We had a great Christmas with both! The pictures are from Christmas Eve with celebrated with both families.

Buster's Christmas presents

We gave Buster his Christmas presents alittle early this year because he spent the holidays at his Mamaw and Papaw Richardson's house. Mom and Dad were not at home since his auntie Rose and Uncle Chris were in town. So he got a santa suit, a rather large Raw hide bone, and lots of treats. He loves these bones and when we saw this we thought it was perfect! We were not sure if he would chew on it but he definately has been working hard on it! He is to much fun!

The Best Husband!

Ike is so great! I wanted us to take a christmas picture and since we were all dressed up for his christmas program I thought that was the perfect time....which means he dedicated MUCH time to this process. The poor guy! I keep saying just one more...he said, "you say that everytime" :) One time while I was setting the timer I accidently took a picture instead and I caught this face on Ike...
Doesn't he look excited! :) We FINALLY got one I thought was okkkk :)

Buster drama!

So....Our yard is an acre and most of that is the backyard. So we always let Buster out the back and when he is done he comes back to the door. We don't have a fence but for the past 2 years he has taken care of business and came right back. So Tuesday night before Thanksgiving I let Buster out as usually and waited for him to come back...He was out MAYBE 5 minutes so i started calling him and he came running and crying and ran straight to his bed like he was in trouble. When I got to him, he was sticky and stinky so I put him in the bathtub. That is when I noticed he was bleeding. Another dog had attacked him. Ike was at choir and I was here alone... I was freaking out!!! He cried if I even touched him (this went on for days). I had found one hole on his side, when Ike got here he found another. We had to wait till morning to take him to the vet...let's just say I did not sleep at all! He was very bruised and sore. The picture below is today about a week later it is the two holes and they look so much better.... The thing is we have no idea what dog did this!

Thanksgiving

Ike and I had a great thanksgiving. We went to Carthage for lunch with Ms. Susie's side of the family. As usually it was alot of fun visiting and the food was great. Ike was super excited his Memaw made homemade carmel cake...his favorite. He has said several times I need to learn to make it.....I made carmel icing ONE TIME for a bake sale and it was ridiculously difficult so hopefully Memaw will be around for a long time to make it for Ike! After we left there we went to my aunt's house. My family makes a day of the holiday so even though they had eaten lunch no one had left yet. They also love to bring out the karoke machine at family gatherings (and the karoke machine has grown over the years, it is now more like a sound system than a karoke machine...just so you can visualize this thing)...and until Ike joined the family this was fine...none of us can really sing, but we will sing our hearts out like we can. But poor Ike, he can sing...which is a problem...see when we sing and it stinks it is ok no one really knows or cares, Ike on the other hand practices a song at least 95 times before singing it in public. He gets alittle stressed when they bring out the karoke because they immediately start pressuring him. I try to defend him, but they are relentless! HAHA! He did end up singing one song for them. :)
