Spence's FIRST birthday party!

We were extremely blessed that for both of the first birthday's for the boys...Ms. Susie (Ike's mom) has ask me for my idea on the theme and I have pinned some of my ideas on pinterest, and she used that and ran with it.  I am one of the least creative people in this world.  She is one of the most creative people in this world so it works out great. I always have a vision, but I could never pull it together like she does.  I knew I wanted Spence's party to be bold primary colors, so when I came across the planes, trains, automobiles theme I was sold.  Ms. Susie pulled it all together for us, and it turned out perfect!

We always want the 1st party to be close to our family.  Ms. Susie rented a huge room and playground at the community YMCA.  It turned out to be the absolute best location!  It was big and roomy

Aunt Mary and Uncle Hank came down for the party!

I did not do a big cake this time.  We never even cut Brant's because the cupcakes where sooo good!  So we did cupcakes and 2 SMASH cakes for Spence!

Stop light cupcakes

More party pictures!  The YMCA has all these mats for working out that they let us use.  They loved playing on those.

Spence was so happy to see Libby at his party!
But Brant was equally excited to see Taylor Grace!
Love these two sweet girls!
Meme, Papaw and ALL their grands!
Nana and Granddaddy and the boys!

I think Spence's first birthday was such a huge success.  I am so thankful for everyone that came to help us celebrate out sweet little blessing!

My oh my how time flies.  You are by far the happiest baby I have ever seen.  You laugh and smile all the time.  You can never know the joy you have brought into our lives.  It’s so neat when God surprises you with something you didn’t even know you needed.  That is definitely you.  Our family needed you.  It’s amazing how different and perfect you and Brant are for us.  I know that the Lord has amazing things for you, and I pray daily that you will love Him above all else.   Spencey Whincy, we love you so very much.   Happy birthday baby boy!

Happy 2nd birthday Brant!

I just cannot believe how fast two years has gone by!  I feel like it was yesterday we were celebrating being pregnant and anxiously awaiting his arrival!
Here he is a big 2 year old!
His birthday party was Cars themed!  It is still one of his favorites.  He is constantly saying Mater.
It was kind of a surprise party.  Not because we planned it that way, but since he didn't really understand what a party was this year.  He went down for his nap and we decorated the house, and we waited until everyone was there to wake him up.  So he came out to all the decorations and family everywhere.  I think he was pleased.
Our attempts at a family picture...I sure love this bunch!

Here is Brant with his cousin, Kendall and his best buddy, Gray.  We I decided that we would only have family and Gray this year.  I know that next year Brant will want to invite his buddies, and I thought one more year of family would be good.  When I say just family that still means 25-30 people!
Brant was not in the best of moods for the party.  He just wasn't feeling great!  Aunt Amanda and Uncle Jason drove down just for the party!!
Aunt Molly and Spence-a-poo.
Meme and Paw of course!
Brant and Nana!

Brant's first birthday party

This was the inspiration for Brant's first birthday.  Ike got this outfit for his first birthday from his Aunt Iris.  It has made its way through the family.  When I started thinking about Brant's first birthday I thought it would be fun for him to wear this outfit.  I also love nautical themed big boy rooms so we decided to go with that for his big boy room too.
Brant is such a people person.  He just comes alive in groups.  His party was no expectation!  He had a blast!  I will let the pictures tell the story.
A few pre-party pictures

He just ate up being the center of attention

My mamaw!  I just love her!!!

I tried to plan the party so it was directly following nap time.  Well of course that was a big fail.  He ended going to sleep early and getting up early.  Which resulted in this ending to the party!  Oh well.  It's his party and he will cry if wants to!  :)
We are so thankful for all of our family and friends that came to help us celebrate Brant's first year!  I wish I had gotten pictures of everyone.  He is definitely one loved boy!
