Trying out a new splash pad!

This Since we were off on Friday for the 4th and Aunt Lala (my sis) was here to help me....we decided to go enjoy one of the local splash pads!  It was loads of fun.
These two went down this slide at least 100 times!

We always love hanging out with these guys!  We can't wait to add Spence's BFF in November!
While the big boys really liked the splash pad, this little guy loved it!  I was blown away he just took off like he was as big as them. He loved this alligator.  He was getting up on it to sit even pushed off a big kid! 😁 This was the first day that I noticed he no longer crawls!

My top 5 things about the splash pad
1. Lots and lots of water spickets!
2. You can see the kids no matter where they are!
3. Popsicles
4. Chairs for mommy
5. And most of all...the naps that follow

Texas Trip

I really really wanted Ike to get a happy surprise for his birthday.  Ike sacrifices so much for our family.  So when I was thinking what would Ike want more than anything I decided it would probably be time away from us a guy's weekend.  So the Walker's and I planned for us to come out to Texas and Ike and Kyle could camp then hunt and fish some.  It was a great plan!  The boys were great traveling to there.  We did get detoured for a little bit because of a tornado making its way through.  I wish I had pictures of soaking wet Ike and Brant.  We hung out in Walmart and got the boys dry clothes till it passed.

These four played great together!  And the boys came back early they missed us so much.  Great daddies!!

 Toddler issues...

These two happy as can be

One of our MANY stops on the way home.....The boys were DONE with the car ride!

what a week...

We had such a great time last weekend.  The weather was great so we spent some time outside.

Then our sweet friends the Walker's came to spend the night with us.  Brant and his sweet friend.  Some of the faces he makes there is NO doubt he is my child!
He loves his coupe car.  He really loves any activity that involves being outside!
Saturday night the fun really began... Brant woke up around 3 and was UP.  Along with being up he was extremely fussy.  I had thought several times the week before that he possibly had an ear infection.  Everything I read said 80% will heal on their own so it is best to wait and see.  Everything said it is best to avoid antibiotics when possible so they do not become resistant to them.  I, of course, called the doctor to confirm.  She agreed and said it was possibly teething.  Sunday night was not great either so Monday I took him in first thing.  He did have an ear infection along with getting 5 teeth!  Tuesday was TERRIBLE!!!!  Brant either poo pooed or threw up every 45 min to an hour.  NO ONE slept in our house.  Every night has been slightly better since then, but still no good sleep.  We were also just sad our baby felt sooo terrible and we could not fix it!
A few selfies while waiting for the doctor.  You can see in his eyes how bad he feels!

3 am....What's the big deal, mom?

and then this happened...

This was day one of the eye infection.  I am too embarrassed to show the days following including today.

This was the highlight of the week!!  I really just can not believe our baby is walking!!!!!!  He's not totally steady but he is on the way.  And again confirmation that he belongs to me (and really his daddy too) he is after a chocolate bar!

I intend to at least do a half post for baby boy #2 soon!

Recently

I have decided to go on with posting and maybe some day I will post a random Christmas post on here.

Mr. Ira gave Ike and Brant a bike carrier so that Brant can go on bike rides with us.  He was not a fan of riding with the helmet at all.  He did pretty good for his first ride.  He was very tired and the seat does not recline so he was having some trouble.  We made do, and he got a little nap and woke up happy!  We really enjoyed being able to all go for a ride.

That night our good friend Molly came over and babysat for us to go on a date!  I looked forward to it all day.  I felt like I was in high school or something!  The best selfie we could manage.

Ike took Brant to his 9 month check up and sent me this picture.  I felt like he looked so big!!

This past weekend I was able to go on a girls trip to Nashville with 3 of my 4 roomies from college.  We had a blast catching up.  I love that no matter how long it is between visits it is like nothing ever changes.

I LOVE this video of Brant.  I always say that even without talking he is a great communicator.  I was feeding him bananas to start with and attempted to switch to peaches.  You can tell the moment he sees the switch he is not happy!

This is his newest trick!  We love it!

life lately

We have had an exciting few weekends.  We got to spend some much needed time with the Wilson's!  God is so good to provide just the opportunity you need at JUST the right time!  We had so much fun hanging out, and Brant loved their children especially Cy.  We may need to work on not pulling hair though.

This past weekend Aunt Amanda, Mimi and Papaw came to visit!  Brant was of course spoiled rotten.  He has these three wrapped around his little finger already!  We really enjoyed having them.
We didn't get a picture with Aunt Amanda but here is Brant ready for her visit.

Randoms of the Sweet baby boy!

Brant had his first fever a few weeks ago.  The daycare called for me to come get him, and when I saw that number come up I panicked a little.  They must have expected it because the first thing they said was Brant is fine.  Poor guy did not feel good, but the doctor could not figure out the issue.  I say teething even though I KNOW the medical professionals say there is no fever with teething.  I got some extra time with him which was nice.  He is definitely a cuddle bug!

He is in LOVE with this fresh food feeder!  But is very particular about what he likes in it.
Mostly Bananas!

I could not be more blessed.  Ike is no doubt the best husband and daddy to us.  He loves this baby to pieces!  I am so thankful for how helpful he is, and it is nice that he is so hands on!
