Three Wonderful Years!!

Ike and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary in May.  I seriously feel so blessed to be married to this man.  He is such a wonderful husband.  This picture is us before we went to eat with the flowers he sent to my work.  They were beautiful and reminded me of our wedding day.  They were a smaller version of our big arrangement.
I love you so much, Ike! Thanks for putting up with me. :)

Memorial day weekend

Memorial day weekend we went to the beach with the Winklepleck's. Stacie's family has a condo down there, and they were so sweet to invite us to spend the weekend with them. We all seem to have the same idea about vacation. We laid around on the beach, did some fun activities, and we ATE! I will go ahead and share one of the fun activities. Ike has been DYING to go para sailing. I am terrified of heights so I have been putting it off. We did it though. I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

Getting on the boat...The boat ride itself was an adventure. I had never ridden a boat in the ocean, and it was really really bumpy. According to Rob it was a mild day though.

Ok here we are getting ready to take off, can you tell I'm so excited! So while we are up in the air our deck guy and others thought it would be so funny to send this up to me...I totally freaked out, but did not flap my arms!! Then he proceeds to shake the rope! Not nice at all! We survived and it was fun. Ike can check that off his bucket list.

We even took a few pictures on the beach. This was Rob's favorite part of the whole trip! Thanks for being a trooper Rob.
Then out to eat! Yum. I am sad I didn't get a picture of Stacie and her crab legs. I think she went to the beach mostly for those :)Putt-putt! It was fun and we will not discuss scores the end. :

Jen's wedding!

One of my roommates from college, Jen got married in June. She was a missionary in Africa for 2 years and while she was there she met the man of her dreams. The funny thing is he was only there for a short visit. His brother was living in Africa and Jen had became good friends with him and his wife. So while Warren was visiting he met Jen. They had one conversation, but something about her got his attention they started emailing and eventually talking on skype. He came to visit about this time last year, and it has been love every since. God is amazing! I am always blown away by His perfect will in His perfect timing! Warren is Canadian so Jen has relocated BIG time. In college we always joked Jen would marry a foreigner, but Canada never crossed our minds! Ike and I were so honored to be a part of such a special day! And I just ate up the time I got spend with the girls! I can never say enough what these girls mean to me. I am so glad that all the boys are able to hang out and have became friends as well. I LOVE these picture! It is perfect! This is the most recent #7 family picture-We have certainly grown! :)Me and the Bride! The girls! The guysThe group, missing Addie and Liza they were partied out. Such a fun weekend!! Maybe we will get to do this again next summer huh Meg? :)

Cruise to Mexico

We made it through the last full semester of school and to celebrate we went on our anniversary cruise the first week in May, and we LOVED it! We had heard they are addictive and I can see why! It has to be the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on, and I gained every pound I lost before! Some of favorites: the food, how every time you leave your room they make the bed, ports, towels, chocolates, oh and food! It was so nice not to have anything to distract us! So we have to admit we learned something about ourselves...we LOVE each other and LOVE spending time together, but there is a limit to just how much we can take. Plus we just love hanging out with friends :) We went down to Mobile on Saturday afternoon so before we ever boarded the boat we had 2 days of just us time (which was SO fun). However day one on the boat was alittle touchy :). I am ready to lay out, get sun and read my book. Ike on the other hand is ready to explore, workout (ew yes on vacation), and nap. He ask every 5 minutes what time is it....
Here we are attempting to take pictures of ourselves, not cool. :) On Tuesday night we see a couple from our table taking pictures with the photographer. I decide that maybe I should see if they want us to take their picture since the cruise charges 20 bucks at least, and the rest is history the four of us spent the rest of the cruise hanging out! We loved this couple. They were extremely laid back and soo much fun! We hope to cruise together in the future. They took our picture too of course, and Jenny learned fast that I LOVE pictures! I had to teach her you take your camera to EVERYTHING! Sorry Josh! Our first day out in Mexico. In Cozumel we spent the day on the beach and did a little snorkeling and kayaking. AND Jenny and I laid on the beach and got sun! (right Jenny! :)
Getting off the boat.... The place were we spent the day had a few pools also! Look how beautiful! This is our dining room table every night we really enjoyed getting to know all of these people. So cool how they sit you with people in your life stage. All in our 20's, married about 1 month-3 years, no kids. It was alot of fun!We liked the shows alot too! Favorite: the marriage game! So funny! The next day we spent in Calica. We all pretty much laid around in the sun. Expect for Ike and I rode jet ski's with another couple from our table Braxton and Kristina. It was a neat experience, but I will admit I was scared! We dressed UP every night! I told Ike we never get this opportunity. And yep I have him matching me! Can't look awkward for our pictures! And I made Ike take tons of pictures!! :) It just something I like to do, and he likes to make me happy! Our new best friends! It is crazy how close you can get in a week! The last day was a boat day...And then our last night..We were really sad to leave! We had so much fun! Thanks Josh and Jenny the trip would not have been the same without you guys!

Birthdays!

April is a month of birthdays for us! This year my sweet daddy turned the big 5-0!! :) We had supper at our house to celebrate!!!

Ike and I both celebrated our 28th birthday. It's crazy I can remember my mom and dad turning 28! Funny how age changes things....This is one of my birthday presents from my sister..

I could not have been more excited! Who would have thought you could get so excited over a trash can! We have a trash can actually we have had several trash cans. We are not sure what the deal is with the garbage men, but apparently they take out their frusration on our trash can. So EVERY time they knock the wheels off. You know what that means, I usually end up CARRYING it to the road. NO it's not far, but I'm usually dressed for work, in heels and it is HEAVY and stinks which = unhappy Thursdays!! ewe! So far this one is holding on! Next I will blog about May!

April update continued...

Rose and Chris came to visit! Ms. Susie had an event for work in Jackson so they flew in there and we picked them up. We all spent the night and got up Saturday and hung out in Jackson. We have decided to rent for a while when we first move (partly due to the fact that we currently own a home boo). Even if not we would rent. We have no idea where we want to live. Right now we are so far from our church and it makes it difficult to be as involved as we would like so we want to be close to the community we are involved in. This is the only picture I took the whole weekend! Maybe Ms. Susie will share!

We also had Living Pictures! We love this ministry that our church does, and look forward to it every year. We will miss being involved!

I feel like I need to record this for me...During Living Pictures practice one night there were tornado warnings etc. We were all locked in the choir room safe and sound so I had no idea how bad it was outside. At around 8:30 or 9ish they tell us to hurry and get home we have about a 30 minute window before the next storm. So Ike and I (in our separate cars I need to add) take off home. This would turn out to be the most scared moments of my life! We didn't get very far before the hail started and then HEAVY rain and wind! I seriously had a panic attack. Ike was talking to me on the phone trying to talk me through it. I know that God had to get me to the store to pull over because I could not have done that alone...I could NOT see one thing! Once we got the store I totally lost it. Ike got into my car to try and calm me down, but the wind was blowing so hard that my car was rocking. We gave it a few minutes and then tried to make it the rest of the way only to learn a tree was blocking the road. We had to go back to the store and wait. There happened to be another man in the store and he told us another way to go (we are so unfamiliar with where we live it is terrible). Once we made it to our road I started crying I had never been so happy to be almost home. I realize this is NOTHING compared to what others have been going through with the tornados lately. It is just a small small thing in comparison.
Also in April my grandmother had a heart attack. It came out of no where! She has always seemed so healthy to me. She has recovered well, but feel very lucky to still have her. The nurse told her she had never seen anyone live to tell about a heart attack like hers. This is my cute little papaw! We were giving him a hard time for carrying around Mamaw's purse.
stay tuned :)

Lots of catching up!

It has been so long since I blogged that I feel a little overwhelmed just thinking about catching up! :). So I will try to hit all the highlights. But it may take a while.
First off..We have a roomie! My little sister is staying with us for a little while. Her husband has new job and has spent most of the past few months in Canada training. If you know my sister at all you know she DOES NOT stay alone. We blame our parents for this. When she was 4 she had open heart surgery, this caused them to be super protective of her. Plus my mom stayed home with us so really never much reason to be home alone. So instead of wasting money on rent (cause she would never be there) she moved in with us! It has been alot of fun actually, when she is there. She is in her last semester of nursing school so she's a little busy. My mother was having small panic attacks about us living in the same house. I guess those last few years we lived at home were a little traumatic. :). But we are older and more mature. I hope! As you can see Buster is thrilled to have more people around to give him attention. Especially when uncle Jason is around

We were able to visit with several of our friends in April. Which we of course LOVED! We ate dinner with Lauren one night while she was home. Her husband is in the Air Force and they are getting ready for their next duty station which is in Seattle! We are hoping to visit them at some point!

We got to see the Gillis' too! Buster was so excited to see their girls! He is still in love! :) We had dinner and celebrated Ike's birthday! Jessi is a fabulous cook! She brought the most delicious food over!

This is the Craig family with their newest additions! We loved getting to spend a little time with them, and we met their little miracles!

MUCH more to come....
