Where has the year gone?

I can not believe we are getting married in less than a month! This year has flown by! I remember people saying that it would but thinking that there was no way. I thought it would be the longest year of my life. While a year seems like long enough to prepare in some ways I feel everything is happening all of the sudden. My sister's finance, Jason, has been Ike's roommate since we bought the house and he moved out this weekend so that we could start getting our house ready for us to BOTH live in. It is weird!!! I am so excited about getting married. I love Ike but I feel torn almost. I don't know why. I have lived away from my family before but this feels different. Poor Ike, I anaylze everything...Any feeling I have (or he has for that matter). So much has been going on lately I think that is part of it I have not had time to stop and wonder my way through everything that is happening.

Anyway, on a lighter note! We have been working on our house trying to get our cabinets done and up. My mom and wonderful aunts came over and got us started on the drawers and Ike has put them back so they look really good! We are so ready for everything to be the way we want it! We are going to work really hard to get it done before the wedding (hopefully). That is in the midst of Ike's little brother Sam graduating and tons of showers for me, my sister, and all of our friends getting married. Did I mention my little sister is getting married 3 weeks after me? Which is pretty fun we have been able to plan together, but it has also keep us both very busy!!! It is all almost here though!! WOOHOO!!

Forgot to Announce!

Happy Birthday to Ike!
Ike's Birthday was saturday also! I had one of the best times saturday night! Ike and I got really dresses up and went to eat at Harvey's! Not sure why exactly but it was extra much fun! Then we rented a movie (that I picked out) and went back to the house. I, of course, feel asleep. I'm horrible I know...I am really going to try and work on this! We start a movie and half way through I fall asleep everytime...so it ends up I can't even discuss the movie with Ike! Ike is so great... he is good about letting me pick out the movies and is usually willing to do whatever I ask him too. What a great guy I have!!! :)

7 weeks to go!!

I can't believe Ike and I only have seven weeks till the wedding! I'm so excited! We have had a couple of showers already which were great. We got some really nice things! Our thanks to everyone! My best friend since the 5th grade, Jenifer and her mom aka my second mother, Ms. Mickie threw me a great shower at the Puckett camp house which was beautiful, and we also had a shower at the church hosted by some wonderful ladies from our church Bernice, Ms. Karen, JoEllen, Ms. Angela, and Lori. I will post pictures soon. Ike and I feel very blessed to have so many people show their support for us!

The wedding plans, you may be wondering (especially those of you who know how Ike and I are...BIG PROCRASTINATORS), we have actually done alot lately. Saturday Jenifer, Mackenzie and I went to tuscaloosa for the day. I finally found a veil that I love! And it was such a fun day! The biggest thing right now is invitations. I feel like those are just hanging over my head. Jenifer is helping me and they should be out soon! I need to just relax and enjoy this time... lately I have been on edge and poor Ike has caught the brunt of it! Good thing he loves me!
Our house...well nothing has changed since the last blog. :) Still have no cabinet doors, we were hoping before the wedding....so maybe! I do like our house though can't wait till I get to live there with my HUSBAND!
It's so weird! For those of you who know the story of Ike and Brandy, you know this is my dream come true. I know some girls dream of who they will see at the other end of the alter....I have for the past 11 years seen Ike! Thank you, Lord for your blessing!

A big THANK YOU!!

We just wanted to take a moment and thank our friends Jenifer and Josh for their help this weekend. Josh came over and sanded our cabinets for us. We were all ready to buy new doors and throw those out. Thanks Josh, you saved us bunches! We are very grateful! :) Josh is our witness that our cabinets needed major help. So they are all sanded and waiting to be primed. So that means maybe by this weekend we can have WHITE cabinets!!! YAH!!
She is not suppose to be doing this yet???
Ike and I finished up the inside and it is just waiting for the doors!

Our life!

Things are going good! We have a house... YAH... I think I mentioned that in an earlier blog. This was a process but we are excited now to have it. The house needs some work to get it the way we want it so we have been busy with that. The cabinets were the first to go. They were a wood color that I am not fond of so we decided to paint them white. Why did our friends not warn us??? :) It takes forever. The people before us... we are pretty sure never cleaned so we have been sanding off years of yuck!! Ike is a perfectionist too which I am thankful for in this case because I want them to look great. I, on the other hand, am not a perfectionist. Ike has nicknamed me "half way Brandy". A nickname I am not proud of but I do not care if the corner of the cabinet way back that noone including us will see is done perfect. Ike insist it be done just as good as the outside! I just laugh and do as I am told. He is great! I am so thankful for him. He lets me do whatever I want to the house and is very helpful and luckily creative. It really has been alot of fun.

I haven't updated lately on Buster! He has moved in with Ike. He has done a really good job of potty training him. He is so funny...he goes outside and we have to tell him "go potty". He will go and run back to you immediately looking for his treat it is great. We think he is catching on to this and has to go alittle more often lately. He is a big baby!
We also had a great Valentine's Day. Ike is sooo good to me. He got me a necklace...that is absolutely gorgeous! ( will put a picture soon). He also sent tulips, which are my FAVORITE, to my work. It was great too because he gave me the neckalace the day before so I was totally not expecting them. I saw them in the office and I said "who got tulips I love tulips"...and they ended up being mine. My sweet baby!!! We watched a movie at the house that night which was wonderful we have not had a night off in a while.

Some of you maybe wondering "how is the wedding coming?" I don't know what to say to that :) It will all come together (I hope). We have not done much for it lately. 3 MONTHS....I can't believe it!!

update!

Last week I spent the week in Hattiesburg at a conference! It was a nice change and I love getting to hang out with Meghan and Amanda which I got to do at night! It just so happens that while I was gone we closed on our house. My sister so graciously was my power of attorney...So we are now home owners! YAH!
This weekend was really fun too...Saturday Ike and I took more engagement pictures. Our friends Sarah and Melissa at Dejavu-Photography took them for us. It was fun as usual! We love what we have seen so far! Check these girls out!
