Spence’s first month just flew by! He was a very sleepy baby so he pretty much
slept all day. He was great at nursing. The only problem is he would want to eat a
little and then sleep a little and then eat a little and on and on. He and I spent a lot of time in the recliner
sleeping during the night. I had already
decided before Spence was born that I would not even try to fight him to sleep
in his bed the first few weeks. He
mostly slept in my lap on the boppy.
This month he was wonderful at eat play sleep. I just knew he had naturally put himself on
schedule (of course this changed in month 2).
Spence is an excellent self soother.
He does take the paci, but he doesn't love it like Brant did does.
Most people say he looks more like Ike, and I agree.
Spence is so long with long feet, toes, and fingers.
Aunt Amanda stayed with us for about 5 days. She kept Brant while we were in the hospital and then Jason came with my parents when they came back for the weekend. I'm not sure how we would have survived without Amanda's help! I love this picture...Brant was not cooperating and Amanda said, "It's ok take it and we will show him how he was acting one day."
Aunt Rose came and spent about a week with us! We were so thankful to have her there to help us! Aunt Rose had a lot going on! She just graduated with her nurse practitioner! Which I totally forgot to blog about. Ike went there in May to surprise Rose for her graduation. We are so proud of her.
AND she took the exam right before flying to meet Spence which she passed woohoo! We were so glad we were able to celebrate her success while she was here. She also sold her house and had to be out before she could come here. Unfortunately the closing was while she was visiting so uncle Chris had to stay to take care of that!
